Intern at MdVLA
We offer a legal internship that is open to currently enrolled law students. If you’re interested in an internship with MdVLA, read on to apply.
Legal Internship
During a legal internship at MdVLA…
– Assist with the intake of artists as they enter our pro bono attorney referral process.
– Participate in the planning and facilitation of our monthly Art Law Clinic where artists can receive 30-minute legal consultations with our attorneys.
– Participate in legal research assignments that span different areas of art law.
– Produce lectures and seminars on various legal topics.
Internship requirements:
– Offered during spring, summer, and fall semesters.
– You must be attending an accredited law school and be able to receive school credit.
– To apply for the summer internship, you’ll need to obtain a public interest fellowship to fund your work. (It is possible to receive these fellowships from the University of Maryland School of Law and University of Baltimore School of Law.)
– Please submit your application for the summer session well in advance of the fellowship deadline (we will need time to determine our ability to sponsor you).
– You will be required to work from our Baltimore office at least two days a week.
